As we discussed the power of Love during our songwriting session, Parker, Gina, Gabby, Rod and I were struck by it’s breadth and width — and also on how it seems that, although this Love is all we are, we are often separated from this knowing.
Love is what we are, yet it is what our thirsty souls long for – to be quenched by what we sometimes have trouble identifying as ourselves… that ineffable Something More.
Something More
Written by Kim-Char Meredith, Parker Meredith, Gina Donaldson, Gabby Jurinkek, Rod Wessels
Feeling like a lonely tree in a dry, dusty field;
Splintered and parched with a heart that needs to heal…
This is not what I’ve come here for…
In truth, I am a bountiful tree by the water
With the sweetest fruit and fragrance to offer
This is what I came here for… I am here as Something More.
And I have been rooted in this Love all along,
My Something More shimmers like dew in the dawn…
This is what I’ve come her for -I am here as Something More.
In Truth I am a tree planted by the water
My leaves do not wither and oh I how I prosper
This is what I’ve come here for –
This is what I’ve come here for –
This is what I’ve come here for –
I am here as Something More _______.
